The Fox Tan

After the weather has been so miserable, cold and wet today it has been making me dream of holidays and summer more than ever. I am naturally really pale and I hate how long it takes me to tan because I love being super brown, hence the reason I have to fake tan every week... a lot of effort!! So when it’s summer time or I go on holiday I love to use the Fox Tan. I recently purchased the triple threat package with the Rapid Elixir, Rapid Watermelon Shimmer and the Sun Tan Sealer. I previously bought the Rapid Mist from them and used it on my holidays last year and it made me tan so much quicker!

I chose the Watermelon Shimmer this time because it makes your skin glimmer and smells unbelievable. It comes packaged in a really cute draw string bag, which is perfect for taking on the beach or by the pool. How I transform my hair

For as long as I can remember I have always wanted longer and thicker hair. But with hair extensions being fairly expensive and the fact that I don't think I could handle the tapes or bonds I decided to go for clip in extensions. I came across a brand called Hair Choice Extensions, you can find their Instagram page here. I got the shade Monte Carlo in 20 inches. You can find them here.

This is the transformation that they make on my hair and I absolutely love them. They are really easy to clip in once you get the hang of it, you just have to make sure that you tie your hair half up and then make sure you really back comb the hair so that the clips have something to clip into. 

For some reason my hair would not stop being crimped at the top no matter how much I straightened it, so excuse it being a little crimped.

Beauty Bazaar Harvey Nichols

After going home last week and spending a girly day out with my mum and sister we decided to treat ourselves and get back and shoulder massages. Because who doesn’t love being pampered? And honestly they were incredible! We had them done at the Blink Brow Bar at the Beauty Bazaar, Harvey Nichols where they also do other treatments too, such as eyebrows, eyelashes and facials. The women who work there are so kind and friendy and are amazing at what they do. I always travel back to Liverpool for my eyebrows... that is how good they are! I really could not recommend them enough, I don’t trust anyone else.

So if you are ever in Liverpool or come across the Blink Brow Bar in London where they have many locations, make sure to go and visit.

Palette heaven

I am so sorry that I have not posted in a long time! With Christmas, New Years and my sisters birthday it has been pretty hectic. But I will finally be posting regularly again. 

How was everyones Christmas and New Years? 

Over Christmas I got two of the most gorgeous eyeshadow palettes and I had to share them with you. The first one is bPerfect Stacey Marie Carnival Palette and omg it is insane! If you love experimenting with bright colours and glitters then this is the palette for you. I am obsessed with blues, pinks and purples and this palette delivers on all three, it is soo pigmented and an absolute dream to use. It also comes with two gorgeous highlighters.

The second palette I received that I have fallen in love with is the Huda Beauty Topaz Obsessions Palette. This has rose gold, amber, bronzes and a bright orange to create the perfect bronzed looks. It is a compact palette with nine different shades and is so perfect to fit in your bag. The pigment in these eyeshadows is amazing, including the glitters and it is one of my go to palettes that I always use.

Halloween!!

Halloween is nearly here!! What are you all going as? I have seen so many cool makeup ideas this year and so I thought I would share some of my favourites with you. I cannot believe how talented some people are it is so inspiring.

I always look on Pinterest for makeup looks because there are so many amazing ones on there. These are my absolute favourites that I have found but there are sooo many more that are just as incredible but I just couldn't post them all. I hope this has given you some halloween inspo and I am going to try and recreate one of these looks myself.

My favourite coloured contact lenses

I have always wanted to see what my eyes would look like with a different colour. I have hazel eyes that switch between brown and green. When I was younger I bought coloured contact lenses and they were a very bright blue and it was a phase that I went through and then just got bored of. But recently I have been seeing so many people using coloured contacts and it made me curious to try them again. I absolutely love Marnie Simpson who you will probably know from being on Geordie Shore and she has brought out her own coloured contact lens range called IspyEyes. You can visit the website here. I bought the shade Ocean Breeze, which is a very light blue and I absolutely love them. It took me a while to get used to myself with different coloured eyes but it was fun to switch it up. On her website there are soo many different colours and they are super affordable too.

You can purchase them here and I would recommend buying the applicator set to help put them in because it makes it so much easier.

So if you are curious to change your eye colour I would definitely recommend this brand. It is so safe and affordable and the ones I got last for 2 months! There are so many gorgeous colours so make sure you check them out.

Doll Beauty Eyelashes

I am absolutely obsessed with eyelashes, I feel like they are the one thing that once you have your makeup on that really complete the look. I have tried so many different lashes over the years and I have finally found a brand that I absolutely love and I can't believe I haven't tried them sooner. Doll Beauty sell the most incredible lashes, they may be a little bit pricier than some others but they are so worth the price. I can use them several times over and they still stick perfectly. They have a variety of different styles and types of lashes and below are my three favourites.

These are the Jasmine eyelashes. They are super lightweight but so dramatic and that is what I love about them, you don't feel like you have something heavy on your eyes and they glam up any makeup look.

These are the Khloe eyelashes. These are a longer lash that add amazing extension to your natural lashes, they suit a day or night look as they are not too full on.

These are the Stephanie eyelashes. These are very lightweight and fluffy, which I absolutely love. These are the perfect lashes for any kind of occasion, whether your going out for the day or having a big night out.

When I went to Topshop recently they had a deal for these lashes of two for £15. I don't know if it is in every Topshop but it was in the one in Romford, Essex!

Pigment heaven

I recently went to NYC for the first time ever and it was amazing!! I loved the chaotic and ambitious atmosphere as well as the endless shops and incredible food. While I was there I had to make sure that I went to Sephora, the best makeup and beauty store that I have ever entered. I was in my element and let's just say spent a little more than I anticipated... but it was SOO worth it. 

One of the products I bought was the Huda Beauty Desert Dusk Palette and omg it is incredible. I am absolutely obsessed with eyeshadow palettes and this one is the best I have ever bought. The pigment of the shadows is insane and the mixture of colours are beautiful, there is a mixture of glitters and matte, it is the perfect summer palette!

The shades are literally unbelievable and if you do not have your hands on this palette I definitely would do, it is so affordable for the quality and you can create so many amazing eye looks with it.

My favourite makeup setting spray

With the temperature having reached a super 29 degrees on Monday, I have definitely been making sure to apply my setting spray to make sure my makeup doesn't just slide right off my face. In the heat I find it so uncomfortable to wear such heavy and full coverage makeup, but if you're like me and prefer wearing foundation rather than being au natural, a good setting spray is definitely the answer to keeping it on and feeling fresh. I always like to use a lighter foundation during the summer like the Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder Foundation. This is a super lightweight formula and moisturising and is perfect for summer. My favourite setting spray has got to be the Urban Decay All Nighter. It is one of the only setting sprays I have used that actually works really well. It makes your makeup last a good 12 hours on your face before it starts to come off. For how long it lasts it is super affordable. I purchased my most recent one in February and I still have 3/4 of the bottle left. You can purchase it here. 

As it says on their website it is also perfect for if you are wanting that extra intense shadow colour, less fallout and even longer wear. All you have to do is wet your brush with the makeup fixing spray before you apply.

Mario Badescu drying lotion

For as long as I can remember I have suffered with blemishes on my face. I have always been so self conscious and would never dream of going out without any makeup on, even if it was just a quick trip to Tesco. But finally after trying so many different products I have found something that actually works and it is amazing. I was shopping in Harvey Nichols when I was complaining to my mum about my blemishes and how I just wish I could sort my complexion out and within 5 minutes she had found me this god of a solution!!! 

It is Mario Badescu's drying lotion. It is gives immediate relief from break-outs and blemishes, so for any of you who have spot prone skin, acne or blemishes this is perfect for you. It comes in a 29ml bottle and has this pink sediment at the bottom which you dip a cotton bud into and dab into the areas where you need to. I've been using it for a couple weeks now and I see such a difference in my face and I am finally becoming confident enough to not wear makeup every time I leave the house. 

The only criticism I have of this product is the smell, it does smell super chemically and takes you back a bit. But if I have to deal with a little bit of a smell to have the best complexion then I really couldn't care less.

My new found saviour for removing fake tan

For too long now I have had the struggle of scrubbing and scrubbing my skin to get rid of my fake tan. I am a frequent tanner, literally every week I apply a new tan and for so long I have been trying different hacks to ensure that it comes off as best as possible but finally I have actually found something that works quite well! After reading many reviews I was hesitant to purchase it because many had said that it didn't work and it smelt horrible but to be honest I did not find that to be true. Bondi Sands Tan Eraser has become my new life safer for freeing my skin of the tiger loaf bread look, which lets be honest isn't the most attractive. 

I will always be honest when I give a review of a product and with this one I honestly do think it is amazing but it doesn't get rid of all of your tan. I did find myself having to still exfoliate but it is nowhere near the hassle that I had before this and it made it so much easier but I guess it depends how much old tan you have on. If you are trying to get rid of that stubborn fake tan then I would definitely recommend purchasing this. It is sold out so often but I managed to find it on Pretty Little Thing and get that with a new tan for only £22!! Bargain. You can find that here.

My first ever youtube!!

So, I have finally plucked up the courage to film my first ever youtube video!! SCARY. I have been obsessed with watching makeup tutorials since forever like Holly Boon and Jordan Lipscombe and have always wanted to do one myself but have never had the time or courage to do so. But I finally thought fuck it and here we are. Following on from my previous post I wanted to create a glam look, using purple shades and purple glitter, a perfect look for a night out. Glam Eyewear

I have recently been watching soo many makeup tutorials on Youtube to try and find the best low end makeup palettes. I came across two Makeup Revolution ones, the Innovation palette and the Re-Loaded Palette. I'm not going to lie I was shocked at how good they were for the price. The Innovation palette was £15 pounds for 35 shades and the other was £4! Yes £4 and it really is amazing!

I created a makeup look combining colours from the two palettes and I went for a more glam sort of look! I'm not any kind of makeup artist and by far not professional but I absolutely love makeup and eyeshadows are literally one of my favourite things to purchase! (Excuse the eyebrows they are in need of a little tlc)

Midnight Blue Calming Cream

I have super exciting news!! I have become an affiliate for the company Wishtrend, they are a brand which sells skincare, hair and body and makeup products (what more could you want!?) I have for the past three weeks been testing out their Midnight Blue Calming Cream, I will always be honest in my reviews because I don't see the point of trying to make you purchase a product that isn't very good.

As stated on their website this product is perfect if you're a person who has concerns about skin irritations due to sensitivity of skin to skin care products. I have combination skin and often suffer with redness around my cheeks and it really bums me out because I hate having to put makeup on every time I go out to cover it up but this cream really has helped, it has soothed my skin a lot. I use it morning and night and it feels so light and refreshing on the skin. The only criticism I have of this product is the size of it, the tub that it comes in is quite small but you only need a small amount anyway, mine still has quite a bit left and i've been using it for three weeks now! The product has a five star rating and is one of their best sellers, I really would recommend it! If you want to purchase it click here.

The cream itself is blue and it is the first skincare product I have ever used that has been that colour and I'm not going to lie it did freak me out a bit but I promise it's all good!

My Stretch Mark Saviour!

Over the past seven months I have been using an affordable oil to get rid of my scars and stretch marks. I don't know about anyone else but I hate it when you've worn your heels or other uncomfortable shoes and  they've rubbed on your foot and ankle and leave scars... it drives me crazy! But Re Gen Oil has helped to make them almost disappear. You can purchase it here.

It is such an affordable product in comparison to bio oil and it honestly does work. I used to suffer with really bad stretch marks and now they're gone. And don't get me wrong looking at Missguided's recent campaign, there is nothing wrong with them but I personally just felt a bit self-conscious and don't want them to be as obvious. So if you are wanting an affordable product and for scars or stretch marks to fade dramatically then go purchase this one. I honestly couldn't recommend it enough, it has been my life saver.

Morphe OBSESSED

Makeup is one of my favourite things ever! I just wish I was as good as people like Brookelle, Rowisingh and Jordan Lipscombe on Instagram, they are my inspirations. For Christmas I was bought this beautiful makeup pallette by Morphe. The glittery shades are magical and have such a good pigmentation. I am obsessed with the pink/burgundy colours and they all blend together so well. If you are looking for a new makeup palette and love a glittered eye look purchase this palette!

Lush Nights

I have always found it difficult to relax and stop being stressed, it is a major downfall of mine! With uni deadlines and the dread of figuring out my future I often get anxious and panicked. My mum is a pro at finding things to help me calm down and relieve anxiety and the most recent products she found for me are all from Lush, the Twilight Body Spray, Twilight Bath Bomb and the Sleepy Body Lotion. 

I love Lush products, they are an amazing animal cruelty free brand, which fights against animal testing, uses the freshest ingredients and has its own ethical campaign. 

The Twilight Bath Bomb takes around 5 minutes to fizz away and it drifts into pretty pastel pinks and blues and the transforms into a gorgeous deep purple. This is perfect for an evening relax before getting into bed. 

Then, I use the Twilight Body Spray, which I have to say is unbelievable, it is a harmonious blend of lavender and tonka and it literally sends you into a calmed mindset. I use it before I go to bed, I spray it on my skin and over my bedsheets and it sends me off to sleep within minutes... no lie! The smell is magical.

I follow the body spray with the Sleepy Body Lotion. It is made with a gentle oatmeal infusion, calming lavender flower and comfortingly sweet tonka. I put this on before I get into my comfies and I feel instantly relaxed and at ease. 

Lush also offer an amazing spa service, it is such a relaxing and different experience that my mum swears by! There treatments range from deep tissue massages to exfoliating treatments. They are perfect as a gift or if you simply want some relaxing time for yourself... everyone deserves to be pampered!! Platinum Blonde

I have been meaning to write this blog post for a while now but I have been so ill with the flu that I haven't even had the energy to go on my laptop... drastic! 

So I decided because it's the new year that I would have new hair! My hairdresser Ro is incredible and the best hairdresser I have ever had. I always get my hair done at Voodou, Button Street in Liverpool! Kim Kardashians platinum blonde is my ultimate inspiration and I wanted my hair as close to hers as possible. If you are from Liverpool or ever there you should definitely check Voodou out, they do half price colour on Thursdays and Sundays too!

The last picture is quite filtered but this was my hair after a couple washes, where it became more platinum blonde and I love it.

My New Favourite Products

After stuffing my face with unlimited amounts of food yesterday, ending in a serious food coma... I thought I would share with you my new makeup products that are my ultimate favourites!

I have never had anything from Iconic London before but I have always wanted to and I am not disappointed, the products I have from there are amazing!

The Iconic London illuminator, I have these in two shades, shade blush and shade original. They are so shimmery and make your skin glow. Mixing the original shade in with my foundation gives such a dewy finish, which I love and adds a nice shimmer to your face. They are the best highlights I have owned and you only need to apply a small amount for such amazing results. 

This brush set is the best one I have ever owned, I love the rose gold handles and the fluffy white bristles! They are the SOFTEST brushes and they apply makeup so perfectly! If anyone is looking for a new brush set, this is definitely one you should consider. This brush set also came with this super cute bag that is perfect for keeping the brushes and highlighters in.
